  13. NEXTSTEP Expo promotional pricing on OCR Servant and HSD
  14. Spell, available through June 30, 1994. The two
  15. applications together are being offered for $295,
  16. usually $444, a $149 savings!

  18. OCR Servant and Spell work integrally together. After
  19. recognizing a scanned image or FAX, HSD Spell is
  20. automatically launched so that you can check your
  21. document for accuracy.

  23. OCR Servant is an Optical Character Recognition (OCR)
  24. utility based on omnifont technology that makes text
  25. recognition of TIFF and FAX images quick and easy. Just
  26. select a region of text from a displayed image or FAX, or an
  27. entire file in the file viewer, then start OCR Servant
  28. simply by selecting it from the "Services" menu, just as
  29. you would select NeXTmail or Digital Webster.

  31. OCR Servant recognizes text and displays it in OCR
  32. Servant's editor. You can then edit the text, perform
  33. spell checking, set fonts, adjust the layout of the text,
  34. cut, copy of paste it to your favorite word processor, or
  35. take advantage of other services which accept text as
  36. input.

  38. HSD Spell is the international spelling software for
  39. NEXTSTEP that automatically integrates multiple
  40. language spelling capabilities into your existing
  41. applications. HSD spell can also be used as a stand-alone
  42. application or accessed as a Service from other
  43. applications.

  45. HSD Spell supports 11 international languages
  46. including Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French,
  47. German, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish and
  48. Swedish. English and your choice of one additional
  49. language are included in the price. Additional
  50. languages can unlocked by purchasing an activation code
  51. directly from Metrosoft.
